Bienvenue. Willkommen. Vitajte. Benvenuto. Bienvenido.
Welcome to our website. We are the little brothers and sisters of the Companions of Jesus.
We are a Franciscan Community of Reconciliation founded in the UK. We are a Non-denominational Order and serve the Church throughout the world. We have no mother house at this time, but live as a dispersed Community living the simplicity of the gospel wherever we are located. We are ecumenical and come from all denominations and none. We hope that through this site you will know the love of Jesus Christ and truly know that He loves you unconditionally, passionately and completely
We hope that you will want to go deeper and experience the furious longing of Our Heavenly Father has for you. We pray that in some small way through these pages you will find salvation, strength, healing, deliverance, peace and joy.
Please use the 'Contact us' page for Prayer Requests, Questions and Communications / or write to us at: 'The Little Portion'. St. Barnabas Church, Sea Road, Bexhill-on-Sea, East Sussex. TN40 1JG. Be Still .....
I know now that the words spoken to Jesus when he was baptised are words spoken also to me and to all who are brothers and sisters of Jesus. My tendecies towards self-rejection and self-depreciation make it hard to hear these words truly and let them decend into the centre of my heart. But once I have received these words fully, I am set free from my compulsions to prove myself to the world and can live in it without belonging to it. Once I have accepted the truth that I am God's beloved child, unconditionally loved, I can be sent into the world to speak and to act as Jesus did.
The great spirtual task facing me is to so fully trus that I belong to God that I can be free in the world - free to speak even my words are not received; free to act even when my actions are criticised, riiculed, or considered useless; free also to receive love from people and to be grateful for all the signs of God's presence in the world. I am convinced that I will truly be able to love the world when I fully believe that I am loved far beyond its boundaries.
